Bayer is an innovative firm with over 150 years of history and core competencies in the fields of health care, pharmaceutics and agriculture. In 2015, Deerns was asked to be part of Bayer’s construction team to create a new facility for the production of medication to treat haemophilia.
International team with local knowledge
Deerns was able to fulfil Bayer’s needs by assembling a team of experts from both Germany and the Netherlands. Dutch expertise in designing clean environments was combined with German knowledge of local regulations and familiarity with the client. The project will be completed according to the pharmaceutical procedures laid down in the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines whilst adhering to Bayer’s construction protocols. The team is responsible for coordinating and supervising several installation contracts, monitoring progress and quality and managing coordination of the MEP systems.
